NOS OBRAS OTROS
this is a space for artists & poets of all different media to present works & to express ideas, comments, scraps, notes, rants, statements on anything & in any way they please. I wanted to have a space where artists & poets from all different points of view, styles, cultures, can present & discuss, comment on, each other's works. To encounter the works of other artists & poets in a freedom of existence and exchange, and to learn a lot and have a good time, too!
The name "Nos Obras Otros"indicates the works are a shared "Other" of each artist, an Other without any limitations or labels imposed.

dear all, sean burn here. i'd love you to come and see work during my forthcoming residency (23rd to 27th february) at stanley picker gallery, (www.stanleypickergallery.org) kingston university, kingston upon thames, kt1 2qj if you can make it. this is one of seven artist-activist week long residencies, with mine devoted to antiracism and exploding some of the lies of 'this small island' - britain. central is my durational work - a dictionary for the bnp, interrogating each and every word in turn and casting out any non-indigenous words leaving a - well, in all likelihood, totally empty dictionary, ridiculing their stance. also installed throughout the space will be the visual poems you find below, plus alternatives to some of the tabloid headlies, and a series of interviews with ordinary extraordinary people about antiracist / antifascist activity.
